Note: the information in this article applies only to the Enterprise system, which is a paid service. The features mentioned here are currently not available for non-enterprise users.
Managing your sensors is easy to do in the Enterprise Console. You can create, install, monitor, edit, or delete sensors at any time. After a sensor is created and/or installed, you will be able to view its activity or edit any of its details using the Console.
The following sensor management actions are available through the Console:
- Create new sensors and configure their details
- View or edit sensor details for existing sensors
- Transfer a sensor to a new area
- View recent sensor activity and alerts for a single sensor
- View recent sensor activity and alerts for all sensors in an Area
- Delete/deactivate sensors
The first step in viewing or editing sensors is finding the specific sensor you want to view or edit:
- Use the search feature on the "Sensors" or "Areas" pages to look up a sensor by its Location or Description labels
- Click the "Sensors" page, then scroll through your list of sensors until you find the one you are looking for
- Click the "Areas" page, then click "View Sensors" for the Area of the target sensor, this will show you only the sensors in that specific Area
This is what you should see when you find the sensor you are looking for (may look different if you have already installed the sensor, but the actions you take will be the same):
Clicking on the "Edit" icon ( ) will open a side panel where you can view or edit any details for the sensor. This includes the Area it is assigned to, as well as its Location and Description labels.
Clicking the edit contacts icon ( ) will open a side panel for viewing or editing the contacts on this sensor's notification list. You can search or browse through your saved contacts, and then press the plus icon () for each contact you want to add to the sensor's notification list.
Clicking the trash icon ( ) will deactivate your sensor and delete it from your account. After deleting a sensor it will no longer appear in the Enterprise Console or Mobile App. A deleted sensor will not send alerts of any kind.
To check recent activity for a sensor, open the Notifications page. From here you can filter or search to show the recent activity and alerts specifically for the sensor you are interested in.
